Why does honey crystallize?

Honey is a pure natural product. Its sugar content consists mainly of fructose and glucose. Over time, the glucose tends to separate from the honey, causing it to become solid or creamy. This process is called crystallization and is a sign of authenticity and quality.

Tip: If you prefer your honey to be liquid, simply place the jar in a water bath at max. 40 °C – it will quickly become clear and runny again.

What is Demeter?

Demeter certification is an international label for farms and products that follow biodynamic farming principles, named after the Greek goddess of agriculture. It guarantees that products are produced sustainably with strict standards that go beyond organic farming. These standards include respecting natural and lunar cycles, using biodynamic preparations to enhance vitality, promoting biodiversity, and ensuring holistic, environmentally friendly practices throughout production and processing. The certification symbolizes a commitment to regenerating the soil, protecting animal welfare, and delivering nutrient-rich, high-quality food.
